All players eligible to play in the U5 to U10 age groups may participate in this program. The Academy staff has been selected because of their demonstrated ability to teach young players as well as their coaching and playing credentials at the higher levels of the game.
This development program has been reviewed by Premier, High School, Olympic Development, College, State Associations, and US Soccer National Coaches. It is their belief that the Academy is an exceptional program to develop players for the future and to keep kids playing the game at the same time. US Youth Soccer also presented the basic structure of this program at its national convention this year as an incredible program for the growth of players and the game.
To register, all you have to do is come by the CFU office (6964 Aloma Avenue in WPK) and when registering let them know you are registering for the Academy! For more information please email the Academy Director (Gary Barnett) at garybarnett1@cfl.rr.com.

THE CFU ACADEMY IS DEDICATED TO PAIRING YOUNG PLAYERS WITH ELITE COACHES IN ORDER TO PROVIDE EACH CHILD THE GREATEST CHANCE OF SUCCESS IN THE GAME OF SOCCER!!!
Central Florida United is excited to offer the first full time academy program in the
Central Florida area. This program will match many of the best coaches with the U5, U6, U7, U8, U9, and U10 players in the club. Players that choose the
CFU
Academy approach will always have the best coaches working with the players in each and every training session!
The continual focus of the Academy is to improve the technical and tactical abilities of the players in a developmentally appropriate manner. The U5, U6, U7 and U8 players will have the opportunity to train once per week with these elite coaches while the U9 and U10 players will train twice per week. Training each week will follow a set curriculum that will insure that players have the greatest exposure to these building blocks for their continued growth in the game.
Not only will the players be able to train twice per week, they will also play a full league schedule with the Academy. Each week players will play full games with other academy players against other local teams and academies. Coaches will again focus on the individual not just the desire to win the game. Studies have clearly shown that a win first environment often works against player development in the younger age groups. Again, the primary goal of both training and games is to improve the level of play of each individual in the Academy.
Though new to this area, many of the top clubs in this country and the world employ this method of developing players within their clubs. CFU hopes that you will be a part of this high-level and innovative development program.
